Terms of Service

1. The service

Fragments provides a desktop app for working on and reviewing software projects with a coding agent, supporting libraries and tools, and hosted services for existing integrations.

Published libraries, tools and other assets carry their own licenses. Check the license included with the version you use. These terms cover the Fragments desktop app, hosted services and website.

Projects you create from a Fragments starter are yours. The open-source libraries a starter installs carry their own licenses.

2. Accounts

Some Fragments features require an account. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be authorized to connect any repository or organization you connect.

3. Your code and your data

You retain all rights to your code and your design system. The desktop app works on local files and does not upload your code to us. Coding agents you connect are separate services that send code and conversation context to their providers under their own terms. You are responsible for your agreements with those providers.

When you use hosted features, we process the project information needed to provide the requested service and store associated results. We do not claim ownership of your content or use your code to train machine-learning models.

You can disconnect repositories at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and its stored data. Optional desktop usage sharing and feedback are described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to probe or disrupt the service itself, to access data you are not authorized to access, or to resell the service without an agreement with us. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

5. Plans and billing

New paid plans are coming soon; joining the desktop waitlist does not create a trial or subscription. An existing hosted subscription remains subject to the terms agreed at purchase. Paid plans are billed on the schedule shown at purchase; where an accepted offer includes a trial that converts to a paid subscription, cancel before the trial ends to avoid that conversion. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Early-access software

The Fragments desktop app and hosted services are early-access software, provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Analysis and findings are advisory: they can be incomplete or wrong, and a passing check is not a guarantee of correctness, quality, or compliance.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date, and continued use after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
