Terms of Service

Last updated July 18, 2026

These terms govern your use of Fragments Cloud and the usefragments.com sites. They are written to be read: short, plain, and honest about what the product does.

1. The service

Fragments provides design-system governance tooling: an open-source component library and CLI, and Fragments Cloud, a hosted service that connects to your repositories, runs governance scans, and reports findings to your team and your configured tools.

The open-source packages are licensed under their own licenses (MIT or FSL, stated in each package). These terms cover Fragments Cloud and the usefragments.com sites.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use Fragments Cloud. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be authorized to connect any repository or organization you connect.

3. Your code and your data

You retain all rights to your code and your design system. When you connect a repository, Fragments reads the content needed to run governance scans and stores the results: findings, component and token metadata, contract definitions, and scan summaries. We do not claim ownership of anything we read, and we do not use your code to train machine-learning models.

You can disconnect repositories at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and its stored data.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to probe or disrupt the service itself, to access data you are not authorized to access, or to resell the service without an agreement with us. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

5. Plans and billing

Free trials exist so you can evaluate the product. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the schedule shown at purchase, and trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Early-access software

Fragments Cloud is early-access software and is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Governance findings are advisory analysis of your code: they can be incomplete or wrong, and a passing check is not a guarantee of correctness, quality, or compliance.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date, and continued use after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
